W i w trailer

Didn't get a picture, but came across an 85 4x truck converted to a trailer. Gentleman did a pretty good job bending the frame in and welding it up. He retained the fuel tank (EFI) , got a funky cross bed box on the tongue of it. Kept the OE rear diff. Wired the fuel tank to the running lights with a toggle if you want to fill the fuel tank and pump it out later (kinda cool). Inner bed panels are missing and has a bed liner, inner tailgate panel is missing and needs a tail gate handle (what 85 doesn't) What do you think something like this is worth? Picked it up for 800.00. here's a pic as I bought it. Cleaned it up and lightened it up. I figure I removed close to 250#. 2nd pic is where i'm at right now. Well pictures loaded backwards, the funky cross bed box is how I aquired it.

Removed the bed liner that was creating a huge amount of rust under it, removed the white box, cut excess frame brackets off of it. Removed fuel tank and am having it cleaned out. Going to reinstall it and use as a transfer tank with the factory fuel pump. As you can see in the pics both of the interior bed panels are missing. Have an ad up for those in classified. Got the rust all wire brushed out and treated. Will be pretty cool when I'm done

Did a little bit of work on it over the weekend. Found some interior bed panels---in the same color- (got lucky there). Put a tongue jack on it. Rewired to a 6 prong for batt power to the fuel pump. Torched off the excess frame brackets and cleaned up some welding. Couple of pics for those interested. Looking for a different cross bed box to cover up the tank and put a valve and switch in.

Little more work done to it. Built the straight axle for it using #42 trailer spindles and 6 lug 12'' brake hubs and drums. Sorry, forgot to take pics on the axle build, when I get in the zone I forget about documenting and taking pics. Anyways I built the axle with a 57'' wms and used Trail Gear spring seats on a piece of 3'' dom tube. Still have to complete the wiring hook up and figure out a parking brake handle. Yep got the brakes with a parking lever. Beefed up the springs some what. Eliminated the fat over load on the bottom and cut up an extra leaf pack I had and added 2 more leafs. Extended the bump stop down as not to over flex the pack when I load it down with what ever and so I could use the u-bolts and plates over. Pics for those interested

Thank you. I'm hoping I can put about 2k into it without worry. Definitely needed the electric brakes on it for assist. When I first got the trailer and was towing it home, I could really feel the weight behind the pickup and feel it pushing me a little in the curves of the highway. If I lived in the valley where it's flat, I wouldn't worry about it. Now I'm trying to find a cross bed box that is not really huge to put on the tongue and cover up the fuel tank. I am planning on trimming out the bottom of the box to form to the tank and get the box bolted to the frame rails
