Unknown popping
Hey guys, I'm going to get to the point, 1986 4runner still ifs (keeping it that way), I have a weird popping sound when turning at slow speeds. Doesn't do it when stopped, doesn't do it when going straight. Sounds like it's in the middle of the truck, so I did ujoints because the previous owner tack welded them in anyways so figured what the hell they should be done, was able to carefully chisel off the wells and clean everything and put in nice new unoints, still popped. So figured maybe a balljoint since it's when turned, well did the lower passenger ball joint since that was a new used that I got when I bought abother front end after welding my right side wheel bearings to the spindle (long story), I have tried having people listen to the noise, I have tried listening to the noise, I can't pinpoint it. It sounds like it's in the middle but then it sounds up front, but then sometimes it sounds like it's in the back. I thought for a while torsion bars but I have since heard a torsion bar pop at the same time I heard that noise so scratch that. Anyways I'm getting really annoyed with this noise because more than anything it is embarrassing. I have new proforged upper ball joints arriving ~ Wednesday, then I'm going to do the driver lower (both lowers are oem, passenger I replaced today is oem from the dealer so will the driver one), I also have a new pitman arm coming Sunday and I put a new idler arm on a couple weeks ago again in attempt to find this noise. In another week or so I'm doing all my tie rods too and shocks, after that I give up on the noise.

Is this only when you turn hard over either way? could be steering stops. This would be a screeching/popping sound when you are turned full over and have ANY movement in the front suspension (bump/body roll)

I just confirmed last night it is definitely in the back, can't tell if it's from the stupid welded diff or my suspension but going to pull all my shackles apart and clean the bushings and grease them
