Strange Click noise

Ok, again, i have a problem.

by now i figure i should be able to troubleshoot a problem. but alas, i cannot.

I have a clicky noise coming from the driver side front wheel. when i am coming to a stop on a road, i can hear a slight rattle noise, i cannot reproduce the noise any other way than coming to a stop. The click noise comes when i am going over a bump with an incline/decline, if I go over a speedbump, it doesnt click, but on the trail, it clicks a lot. I cant feel anything in my steering, but the noise is bothersome. My truck has always clicked when i make sharp turns, but i have heard that is normal in 4runners, so i cant really tell if its a CV problem or what. i will try to get some pics up today, with my wheel off and hopefully someone will notice something i dont.
does this look busted? kinda does to me...

my truck does this as well. I was told that it could be a loose shock so I tightened my shock up and it got rid of most of the click but occasionally it still clicks. Mine clicks on the passenger side, passengers can even feel it through the floor board. 85 pickup(straight axle) so maybe it's just a Toyota thing?

I've head that the sway bar end link has been a culprit for this type of noise.
Check both at the control arm.

i see the angle of the driveshaft in your first pic is pretty steep. do you have t-bars cranked significantly? this may be your problem. you are maxing out the flex of the cv. it may be worth your time to pull one boot clamp and inject some more grease in there, then reclamp.

on FWD cars, clicking at the front is typically CVs. But usually there's a tear in a boot that's let the grease out.

do you have the non-manual hubs so front drive shafts are always turning?

here's the standard test for checking CVs:

go to big parking lot. turn wheel all the way to right. accelerate slowly at first, then ramp it up til you're cranking around in a circle pretty fast leaning against the door. if it's the CV, YOU'LL HEAR IT.

stop, then go in the other direction. full lock turn, slowly speed up til you're hangin on to the wheel to stay in your seat. if you don't hear the clicks continuously, it's not the CVs.

i do this to any front drive car i plan to purchase to inspect CVs.

the sound comes from the opposite side of your turn: clicks turning right (clockwise) = bad left CV

good luck!
