rear spring options?
i've heard that a chevy spring works great as a rear spring but i am not interested i relocating my spring hangers, what other options do i have as far as utilizing stock springs from other vehicles. i would like to maintain 4 in. of lift but improve my rear axle articulation.

I had skyjacker 4"lift "Softride" springs. They weren't incredibly stiff, but definitely not "Softride". They were definitely 4-5" of lift on my 4runner.
EDIT:
Just to clarify these are springs you would have to buy new, but they weren't too pricey if I remember. THe nice thing is that they use the stock hangers.
If you're concerned about good travel, the only way to greatly improve this is by moving the hanger. Plain and simple, the longer the leaf pack, the more travel you will get. The main leaf is the one that determines the range of movement. The other leaves just compensate the load/adjust the height. As far as articulation goes, you need longer springs to see any real gains.
