rear shock length for Ford spring swap?

First off, holy sweet lord it's good to be back in a toyota!!

New rig is an 85 4runner...pretty much stock and pretty rusty but frame is solid

Anyway I'm planning 51" 3rd Gen RUF and ford 57" out back, I've got pretty much everything ordered besides shocks

I'm wondering if i can make 14" work out back with ford towers on the inside of the frame..maybe cutting into the body, anybody else do something similar? I'm looking to avoid the / \ sloped approach, pic of the Ford towers for reference

and of course a customary pic of the rig

I know the feeling about being back in a yota. Especially an 85 runner. Know idea on the suspension questions. Good looking runner

Someone on here has done this before. If I can find what I'm looking for with the yotatech search engine then I use google with yotatech as a search word. Also search pirate4x4. Great information over there just not necessarily as friendly.

Yeah I figure somebody has had to have done it before, and yeah I'm also a member over there same user name.

but I searched Google first before posting, only thing I could find was aftermarket shock mount bars that angle them in or people that cut through the floor and used hoops and a bar brace in the center. I don't mind having shocks sticking up through there I can mostly close that in but having a bar run across it would kinda suck. I'll figure it out I just wanted to possibly see it done before I put my thinkin pants on lol

So just in case anybody comes searching for the same answer, I ended up using ford 57"Springs Sky's offroad missing link shackles and bilstein 14" 5100s and using the ford shock mounts,

Here's the links

Shock hoops through the floor, cutting the floor wasn't hard, getting the stock shock mounts out was a pain!

The axle side I used some FROR shock mounts, basically a bolt sticking out with a bracket that forms to the axle
