Radiator and Electric Fan Set Up

I bought a radiator and black magic electric fan from LCE. I was trying to see if everything would fit and it looks like the ac compressor is in the way. Does anyone have experience with this set up?

Thanks

I ran that setup for a while. No ac, and fit wasn't a problem, but the probe that sits in the radiator fins was, and the electrical draw would tank my idle too much. It worked better with a bung added to the radiator for a proper temp sensor and a soft start controller, but cooling performance was never very good, so I ditched it.

it looks like there’s a 90s 4Runner AC set up installed so the compressor gets in the way. I just wound up using a flex fan instead.

i put the electric fan on my 86 pickup. It fit perfectly

Bummer. We’ll see what my results are. Just need to figure out how to wire the power to the ignition source it shuts off with the vehicle

To anyone interested:

I wound up installing this set up in my 1986 pickup. I have everything nicely wired up but my only hang up is finding a “12v keyed ignition source” that connects 12v to the “+” terminal on the fan. This ensures the fan shuts off when the key is turned off.

I need to jump onto a fuse that only lights up when the key is turned on. So my question is this, is there a way to jump it off the fuse box under the hood? Or do I have to run the wire through the firewall and hook into the ignition fuse on the fuse box by the driver’s left foot. Any thoughts or better ideas? Thanks.
