Question about my lift
84 4wd Toyota pickup
Ok, so here's what I have, Old man EMU leaf springs with a 2" lift, Trail gear 5-1/2" shackles front and rear. Now that should give me about a 3" lift. I know the truck doesn't have anything on it but it sure looks a lot higher then that.
First problem, I mounted up the stabilizer bar to the frame and now it's in the way when I go to mount the torque rod. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a riser block for the stabilizer bar that mounts to the frame so the torque rod will clear?
Just some of the 1st problems I'm seeing,

I would worry about that when you have the weight of the body/engine on there. You would be surprised how much stuff will settle
I pulled the torque rod on my 84 and my 81, 12 years on the road with both of those with no adverse affects

Wow, ok so you don't have the torque rod or the sway bars installed? I do have the torque bar installed but not the sway bar. Interesting, thanks
