power adders for my 84

Hey guys, been awhile since I've been on here been really busy lately just got back from spending 2 years in japan, finally driving my yota daily again couldn't be happier!! But its time to put some money into it. Here's some of the things I want to do I'm just hoping to get some input from you guys on what kind of parts or maybe some things you have done that worked out pretty nice.

I'm trying to figure out what all I can do to gain more power without spending a fortune, maybe Weber Carb and filter, the exhaust I have is a glass pack but its ran all the way out the back, maybe a flowmaster 40 series?

Smart phone decided to post before I was done... anyways I was also thinking maybe I need gears as well? I have 33 12.5 on it right now maybe one day ill put 35's on it but that's in the future. And also my suspension is really freaking stiff I don't get as much flex as some of my buddies with the same size lift. What can I do there for a softer suspension?? Thanks in advance for your input!! I've been away for awhile so I need to get back into my truck!
