Spacecadet, when the weather warms up pay special attention to the temp gauge. That goo in the rad could have plugged about 40-50%percent of it. The flush you gave it (and chemical flushes) will not unplug it. Might be time to rod or replace. Nice job of working thru your problems, the fun now begins.

Hey SR25JD, i have a 22r, same as a 22re as far as valve clearence and the factory says .008 = intake and .012 = exhaust....but I find... .007 in/ .011 ex makes the engine quiet and it doesnt sound like a diesel. that is if you feel confident on your adjustment procedure its self. One word of advise on valve adjustments is..once the engine is hot and u shut it off to do the job, be aware of ambient temperature because have been off, only because it was pretty cold outside when i did the adjustment. fyi and good luck!

Yea ive got my eye on the rad to see if it turns poo brown again.

I think i might have the fuel lines hooked up wrong.

on the passenger fender there are two lines, the one closest the the firewall i ran to the input of the fuel pump, the one after that i assumed was the return line so i capped it off.

Then there is a 3rd line down by the frame rail, i assumed that was the vent line.

I took all the emissions stuff out including the charcoal cans so i have a couple questions.

Are those the right lines? i have this odd feeling that they are not?

With no charcol cans do you just leave the vent line open to air? should i route a hose down into the frame for it to spew into if it has to?

I have tried searching but it seems i cant find anything useful

The charcoal canister IS the systems vent to the air so when u take it out, i would put an in-line fuel filter at the end and leave it open on the other side. that way any debris cant just fly in. goodluck!
