OE Grille Emblem for 85 4Runner Anyone?

Does anyone know if the OE style grille emblems are even availaible anymore for the 1985 Style 4x4 grille? I don't remember the year range covered, but the only replacement I can seem to find is the larger one for the newer grilles or the 2WD style...

Please refer to the photo ripped off from google for the desired part ;-)

I have a 84 4wd pickup but the grille is the same for pickups and 4runners for 84-85. The emblem is a metal strip that is glued the the grille itself, not a stand alone emblem that's bolted or screwed in
Hope that helps, also, most replacements grilles do not come with the emblem plate integrated in the grille.

Hmm... I've had 3 '85's and only one of them ever had the "badge". It was all original, straight and I never should have sold the truck... super clean SR5 single cab 4x4

Still though, you would think that at least toyota would have an OE part available or that someone would make something to go in its place????

Does your grille have the plate for the emblem?

Yup, Just a big 'ole empty spot that needs a "Toyota" in it.

I guess in the scheme of things I have bigger things to worry about... I'm dangerously close to swapping in a Mercedes OM617 Turbo Diesel

Here is your part number but it's discontinued and $1000 on ebay so you should be looking for them in junkyards.

So, it looks like the thing is practically unavailable...

Wonder if it would be worth this guy looking into making a replacement? http://www.bh3dprinting.com/

I got a pair of his B-pillar badges and was very happy.

You could make a 6-1/8" X 1-1/8" sticker as well.

Super true. Anyone know any decal manufacturers that may be into it?

The OP was asking about the grill emblem and you found a good alternative.

But it's not an emblem, it's a stick on. The original just happens to be metal but there are no mounting holes which I take for not being a emblem.

So stick it on the emblem and then it's an emblem Or stick it to some double sided foam tape and epoxy the top to make it an emblem.
