I just finished swapping a newer (recently rebuilt) 22re into my 85 runner. the first time i tried to start it, it started! sweet. But then when I turned it off and tried starting it again I got a large spark over near the fuse box area and then it was dead! no power.

No i can't find the reason and cant get power.

i've checked all the fuses and breaker. the only way i was able to get some power was when i happened to brush a wire spliced into the Starter clip wire (that goes to the ecu) to the negative terminal, but it just turned the interior lights on.

anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.

check all your wires you may have fried your harness
