The new toy. 85 4Runner SR5.
I flew down to Florida to visit my brother and picked up my "new" 4 Runner. Fully loaded with options that all work. Rebuilt motor too. Eventually it will turn into something like my sas'd 87 truck. Plane tickets (My 4 year old son and I)cost me about 130 and burned about 200 in gas driving back, so I guess I have about 2500 into it now. My only complaint is that it was repainted red (now it matches my 87) but it used to be toyota's 2 tone white and gold. I was bummed, but hey, it has no rust and it runs like it should. If any one needs motor pics of wiring/egr or vacuum layouts, let me know its all there.
Heres a couple of pics of the bed on the 87. I welded it to the frame originally but decided to cut it off and build brackets to bolt it on with 5/8 hardware. I sleeved the frame too. On the fuel tank side, I welded a plate to the outside of the frame and welded a 5/8 nut to the inside to the plate so that corner is just bolted to the "nut plate". I had it sand blasted at work and acid etch primed. My buddy is going to line-x it and the diamond plate will go back on. I'm curious to see how the line-x holds up to trees and rock, but he offered to do it for free so we'll give it a try.

The truck bed pics. The tail lights go in the rear corners of the diamond plate body panels. The whole damn this is diamond plate. The floor and wheelwells too.
