New 85 4Runner 22RE auto

Hello all new member. I just bought a 85 4Runner with 22re Auto I want to change the cluster to one with a tach. What oil sending unit do I buy (part#)? And what do I do about the ECT? thank you for any help.

I don't know what the part number is for the oil sender but if you want to have the ect lights on the cluster then you'll have to find some auto SR5 gauges.

I think any guage from an 85 through 88 (and maybe even 84 and 98) will work as long as it's from a 22RE. There are one or two on ebay right now that are in this year range from 22RE auto 4Runners.

I have done this swap and it was plug and play (although mine is a 5 speed). I don't know the dealer part number but just ask for a oil pressure sending unit. What you have in your 4Runner right now is an oil pressure switch. If you search this forum I'm sure you can find the part number.

The sending units are different if you currently have a light it you will need to change for one with a guage. It will not show pressure.
