need a tad bit more lift

so i got my hy steer installed and my truck isnt quite tall enough for it. the bottom of the pitman arm is hitting my leaf spring. well actually the zerk fitting is but w/e. at normal sitting height its about an inch off but after driving around you can see the line it made on the spring and the zerk fitting is all jacked up. so, if anybody out there or local or whatever can possibly loan me a set of shackles or taller leafs that would be nice. its probably going to be another month or so before the long travel goes on. just need something to hold me off. if anyone has trashed stock leaves i can chop up and make add-a-leafs out of. just anything i dont want to hit a speed bump and screw up my steering box

How did you mount your box? If you did not plate the frame, pull the box back off and re-mount it further forward and on as much angle as you can while still clearing the frame.. I run only 3" of lift up with the stock IFS pitman arm and the pitman adapter from marlin and have plenty of clearance the way i have my box mounted.

You can see how much vertical separation i ended up with in this pic:

If you want any other pics, just ask.

You'll probably still have clearance issues. You need to mount the box as far forward as possible and turn it slightly to get the pitman arm higher or use a drop hanger for the front spring mounts (Sky, Marlin, All Poop all sell them). I'm running hybrid rear packs up front (axle is 2" forward) with stock hangers and I cut into part of the front core support (cleanly ) to mount my box as far forward and high as possible (and I run a 2" body lift!) and still ended up using a Sky (not flat but, about 1" drop) pitman arm. With proper bump stopping (important if you want your springs to last) it just clears at full stuff--------Hans

If you didn't cut the outside plate it's not as far forward as you'd really like it. I had to take a torch to the front of the plates to get the box forward as far as I wanted.

You want it like this^

That way you can push the axle forward a bunch and stuff 4D's into them fenders

Slight thread hijack here but how did the TRE's go together on that crossover kit? Mine with the zerks were all jacked up and had the wrong nut so it wouldn't go down far enough to get the cotter pin in without putting like 9000 Lb/ft on it and ruining the threads. When I got the other style TRE's with no zerks it worked perfect.
