Need help with alternator

I am a newb to the forum. I have a 84 xtra cab that I have been turning into a rock crawler for a while now. I pulled out the old 22R and have just replaced it with a built 22R from a 86 Runner. In doing this I cant figure out how the altenator mounts. I have the bottom bracket but cant figure out the top mount. Does anybody have or can get me a pic of hoe the altenator mounts.

Thanks

The bottom widest mount of your alternator should be mounted in front of the engine mount on the drivers side. The top mount is a thin peice with a slot in it on one side to adjust tension and a hole on the other side to mount to the block, the unslotted side is held by the long bolt (again on the passenger side) just bellow the head that holds the timing cover. If you cant find the top piece it should be cheap at the junkyard or pretty easy to make.
Sorry i cant send you a pic I am away from my truck for a while.

Thats good info. I was thinking that the altenator was stationary. I just dont understand the slider now. I have the bottom bracket on in front of the drivers side motor mount so i dont see how I can mount the slide braket to the passengers side. If you get a chance a pic would pe great.

Thanks for the reply
