My 1985 pick-up rebuild: water and mice invasion
For the ones who has water into the cabin but cant fix it, here is what i needed to do on mine to fix it.
This truck is realy rusted.
Water was getting into it from under the wiper mecanism and near the hood hinges. Caution, not for the faint of the heart...
At first, i was about just to reseal the windshield, as it was 99% unglued (dont ask me why).
I needed to rebuild the lip where it sits almost all the way around it too, then the floor, then...
Also, mice was in there, in the heater system, i needed to take it all out, removed all the foams because they was soaked with mice pee, that stink soo much !!!
i replaced them all, talk about a full heater rebuild...

some more pictures...
both sides were realy rusted. Water was falling over the ECM on the passenger side, while on the driver side it was falling right into the fuse box and the flasher relay...
I made it with super thick steel, solid as hell.
Not shown is a stainless screen that i tack welded over the inlet of the heater system.
Now all i have to finish is to make the transmission work "normaly" as the automatic feature is out of order...
