i think this is the best bang for your buck,http://www.trail-gear.com/classic.html
then do the rear with chevy springs or just get this kit after your done with the front.http://www.trail-gear.com/rearsuspension.html
free shipping too. only thing youll need is an ifs steering box and maybe some driveshaft work. id go with the bilstein 5150 shock upgrade too.

Rears up front and chevy rears is like 200, but is complicated, i.e. pinion angles, lengths to mount new shackle mounts. i would go with trail gear, im getting their rear spring kit when i build my 4runner. Personally i would get their rear springs and front springs, but if your going over 33s get hysteer or crossover.

yea that trail gear kit has everything you need as far as suspension and steering less the 86-95 ifs steering box. i just ordered my front kit for the 84 with the bilstein 5150 resivoir shocks for 850 from a local dealer who happens to be a trail gear dealer and good wheeling buddy. as for the front drive shaft im going to do this....

not really worried about vibration if im going 25 off road in 4wd the driveshaft vibration aint crap compared to a washboard road.. most of the time im wheelin i dont even use 4wd except for some of the super deep mud or if ive been drinking and decide to go rootin'

Ever actually been in one that was built well?
I heard all the same crap and now all the people who told me that want me to help them make theirs.
Mine doesn't have noticeable vibrations until about 50 mph indicated which is like 60~65 with 35" tires. That's driving with hubs locked and TC in 2hi. (I don't ever go that fast in 4wd but I would be suprised if it was worse.) It does make a constant clicking sound when it gets dry and there's no load on it but that's not really something I care about.
Not trying to be mean but I get tired of hearing this every time square shafts are brought up and mostly from people who are spouting 3rd hand drivel they heard posted from someone else who hasn't been there or done that.
Now if you actually have ridden in one then you should tell the person who made it to do a better job of getting the ends straight before tacking them in place.

thank you for the info, i guess it really depends on how well you centered the u joint bosses in the square tubing. im sure theres a shop that could even ballance it for you if you really wanted to use 4 high at high speeds , i can pretty much go anywhere i want in 2wd 4wd is only for extream stuff and for that i typicly use 4 low like i said. i would however be concerned with my pinion bearings and seals wearing a little faster but i dont think it would be a signifigant issue as most of us check those things pretty regularly and its not a hard job to change a seal.

Not really. Most square tubing has a seam down the inside. The reciever/stinger tubing is the only easy to find tubing (at least around here) that fits well. Actually you can use any thickness inner tube since it's OD is all that matters for it to fit tight in the reciever tube. It's just a strength issue. Reciever/stinger tubing is the way to go

That's going to be a problem with any lift kit of more than about 2".
You've got a choice: Death wobble or driveline vibration.
The correct fix is to cut and rotate the axle housing, which is a real PITA.
A real lift: DIY.
44044s up front.
1/2 chevy's in back + leaf spring
hysteer
Shocks + lines
Still under 1k, higher than 3in and a basis for a very capable 4wd after you add lockers..

yea i have actually been considering that issue and was remembering an episode of extream 4x4 where they did that. i reckon if you have a good welder ,know how to do a precise cut and have some patience it wouldnt be a bad job.
