Just turned 235000 miles

Not bad for a 22 year old vehicle. It runs better than most of my friends vehicles even with twice as many miles and its off road experience. It really says something for Toyota quality. Now I just have to get this college thing out of the way so I can start making some money and get an FJ cruiser!

Not bad. I have an 84 pick up with 212,000 on it. We also have an 87 Celica GT 20R with 175,000 on it. These things run forever with regular maintenance and a little TLC.

I know a guy who has a toyota junkyard, and he started it by pulling cars home from the auction on a trailer with a '86 2wd Xtracab longbed named "Stretch". It had a 22RE and an automatic, and was super-reliable. That truck went thru 3 boxes (rusted out) and 1 headgasket at 140,000 miles. It still ran excellent when he sold it with 520,000 MILES!! Last I heard the guy who bought it was still driving it, no problems. So you see, with the proper maintenance even automatics live a long life!

Mid-eighties must be a good year. My 84 Camry has 261,000 miles on it and it runs pretty good.

Alas, I don't put many miles on my vehicles now since I live so close to work and have two to drive. Not driving them is worse than driving them all the time.

What's this, nobody knows of any toyota with more than 520,000 miles?!! (NO, that is NOT a typo!) C'mon, I thought someone would have a million-mile toyota by now!

I have 225,000 on the 87 pickup i just bought, but the kid that had it before me blew the head gasket and never addressed the problem, so im currently rebuilding it. my 89 celica GT has 212,000 on it. It still runs like a dream.
