My 84 decided it wanted to start smoking really bad after going down a lond hill on compression, i replaced the valve stem seals and it still smokes pretty bad. Any ideas, compression is good and it seems to not smoke every once in awhile buts that is only when its low on oil because it burns so much goin down hills. Thanks in advance. 149000 miles

 

What color is the smoke...blue or white?

 

Blue smoke and lots of it.

 

Chances are your oil rings are sticking or just destroyed.
