Intermittent rubbing noise under passengers feet

Hey guys,
I've got a weird noise in my '90 4runner. I'll be driving down the road, and suddenly there is a fairly loud rubbing noise coming from under the passengers feet. I can't tell what triggers it, and it is usually only present for a couple of seconds. I've read in other posts that it could be caused by cold weather, but I don't think the cold has any thing to do with it because it happens in warm weather. Anyway, I'm at a loss as to what it could be. Anyone have any ideas?

Check your sway bar end link on the passenger side.

Look into wheel bearings as well. Is the tread on your front tires worn evenly? Also check the CV axles. Are they split and leaking? Any grease being thrown?
