Identifying 84 vs 85 22RE

I have an 85 or 84 2wd sr5, I'm not sure. The nameplate on the firewall says it was manufactured in 84 with a JT VIN. All of the paperwork registration, invoices says it's an 85. It had a new remanufactured long block dropped in with no stamp. Are there any other ways to identify the 84 vs 85 block and head without disassembly?

It's 22re. Model year 1985, manufactured at the end of 1984. Manufacturer runs of the next year's models typically start three or four months before the model year begins, other wise you couldn't get your hands on a say 2020 tundra until April.

I feel like there is an underlying question here somewhere.

It had a new reman dropped in so it's not the same engine as the name plate. I know it's an RE I'm just wondering if it's the 84 or 85 design. There's no stamp on the block.
