I need to know the wiring configuration on the L shaped plug that plugs into the back of the alternator. Thanks

 

Hey man, I have an 84!

I don't know what you mean by L-shaped... its just a plug with three wires going into it. It looks like there are four possible entries for wires to lead into the plug, but only 3 wires found.

PIcture the side of a dice with the 4 dots on it. THe clip holding the plug to the alternator is in between the top two "dots". In the upper-left "dot" is where a yellow wire goes in to. In the lower-left "dot" is a white wire with a stripe. THe upper-right "dot" is unfilled and the lower-right "dot" has a colored wire going into it. Hard to tell what color, maybe blue or green.

Hopefully this helps, if not I'll try and find my service manual but its been MIA lately.
