HVAC Valve

Hello All,

I recently bought a 1984 4x4 off of my uncle who's had it parked since since 98. Now that I have it in running condition, I have found that the HVAC valve is seized. I'm not sure if that is the correct technical term, it the valve that connects to the temp selector on the dash and controls the flow of coolant to the heater core. Anywho, I'm looking for a source to purchase this item and I have no idea where to go. Is there a good online source for parts for our trucks?

Thanks

Scott

Not sure exactly which valve you are talking about. Might try the boneyard. Can you take it out and clean it and oil up and get it working?

I know which valve your describing but can't remember what it's called. Basically it let's water into your heater core so you can have heat. You can disable the valve and everything will work just fine, your engine will just take a few minutes longer to warm up since it has to go through through the heater core then back to the engine.
