Hub warm?

I installed new rotors/calipers, bearings/races, rebuilt manual hubs, and got everything back together. I drove my truck on a few short trips around the neighborhood yesterday. I just got back after a 10 mile drive, the right hub was very warm to the touch, alarmingly so but not enough to cause physical pain to my fingers, not what I would call 'hot'. The left hub was different though, it was slightly warm, about what I expected.

What could cause that, not enough grease? Is this normal? Should I be alarmed?

I packed the same amount of grease which I found in it when I took it apart, looked like enough grease, same amount in both hubs. I used the recommended grease, not the moly stuff.

Looks good though

Maybe the bearing is a little to tight. Does the wheel spin freely with a small amount of resistance ?

I followed toyospearo's instructions here https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f115/84-solid-axle-rebuild-w-pictures-180536/#post51126094 and an old fish scale showed 8-10 lbs of preload. The right front wheel rotates freely.

It's going to be hot, it's a spinning bearing.

I find my hubs will be a little on the hot side (with new bearings) the first trip or two at high speed but then then seem to run cooler after that.
