Hub trouble

I have an 85 SFA that im working on thats out of the rig so i can clean it up because the owner who i bought it from had it sitting outside of his shop for who knows how long. im trying to pull the hub off of the rotor and it is not budging at all. and yes the nuts are off lol. im wondering if it just "froze" to the metal and i gotta use a torch with a rose bib on it or something. any ideas would help! thanks

Did you remove the cone washers after you took the nuts off?

well i got it off like right after i posted this thread. i didnt know about the cone washers until i finally cracked the hub loose. so everything is off of the driver side now im gonna start working on the passenger side. should be alot easier since i know what to expect now. thanks alot guys. on another note, do you have to remove the birfields and shafts before the 3rd can be removed? also how do you find out with out taking it into a gear shop what the gearing is??

To remove 3rd, remove birfs..

Count the ring and pinion.. Ring # divided by pinion# = gear ratio

ok cool right on. i talked to a co-worker and he said that not on the back side of the driveshaft flange where the bolt is that holds the flange on is colored with a certain color. and there is a gear ratio color coded chart that tells you what color is what ratio. so mine is pink which is 4:10. thanks alot
