High Output Alternator

Can someone please point me in the direction of an inexpensive high output alternator installation for my 85 runner? I'm most interested in the necessary wiring, as that's the part I least understand..... Thanks in advance!

90 supra and Cressida run an 80 amp alternator and it is a plug and play.

Also try Boyle's Future Technologies in California. I am thrilled with my alternator rebuild for $130 bones.

From TTORA:

I just posted a message to someone else about an outfit that does a very good job of beefing up stock Toyota alternators. It's a place in Auburn CA called Boyles Future Technology and they do a good job for significantly less money than Mean Green, Power Master etc. etc. I'm getting over 100 amps out of mine and I actully measured it with my clamp on amp meter so it's real not just advertized bull. As I recall it was in the area of $100 and they turned it around pretty quickely too. Can't be all bad, Parts Mike told me about them

Here is more praise...

My rebuilt Alt runs 4 PIA 520's, Rocklights (not LED's) AND my winch all at the smae time... it's amazing, esp when idling!

Piece of cake, we've done it twice, both went in pretty good. 140 amps for about $150.

Good luck.

i swapped mine to an old large style chevy alternator last year after the original one died

cost= zero because it was an alt i had laying around from years of scrapping out vehicles over the years

i had to trim the engine mount bracket a bit and make a real basic top strap adjuter bracket from an old chevy alt bracket i also had laying around

works great, nice bright lights

good luck
