here she is

rusty wonder, just in case anyone is curious. putting 35 BFG ATs under her, and a basic ~6" lift to get the sorting out started

looks good is vaguely ambigious, looks poopie to me, time will tell, the frame appears to only have surface rust, but the body is almost a total loss. probably get some glass from http://www.toyotafiberglass.com. and see what corn field wheeling requires, never wheeled here, only if Cali.

ok, finally got the drivers side front spring off. started putting the other spring on, so it will be lifted completely very soon, cut the exhaust off to get to the upper shackle bolt, I love sawzalls.

just need to get the other two tires mounted, the drivers side rotor and pads swapped (new rotor and metallic pads) and the clutch master cylinder and she almost will be road worthy.

undernieth ?

there is NOTHING avaliable in the aftermarket .. so the plan would be to build something .. The good thing , is the repair would be hidden by the 1/4rs .. so it all depends on what YOU want for the finnished product , and how much time you want to spend on the hidden repair .

thought it might be a good place to build in some compartments, and also want to ensure its structurally sound. no bs on this truck, I want to do it the right way

Sounds like you are going to be on the right track as far as getting it fixed...but you might want to consider a bigger wheel chock, hate to see that thing role on you...

X2 on the Sawzall...no build is complete with out one..

got the fronts springs done(kinda.. need a new spring mount) will post pics soon, the 6" lift springs that the guy sold me are only 4" springs.. will post pics tomorrow. rides great, but back is two inches higher.

Will need to start looking for a new front spring mount, give me a good intermediate to a hysteer/rears in front conversion. My mom's boyfriend has a welder.. :-)

Oh, I always keep the truck in gear, when I finally work on the front axle used 18" x18" blocks to raise the jack stand so it wasn't extended very far, and for re-assembly had the 35" on the other side.

Has a good look, doesn't look overdone.. and a lil prime and paint work doesn't scare me. I am an Iowa Native and I've only had two non Toyota Trucks.
So rust work is old hat.

current pic

ordered a welder today. time to learn to fabricate. watched dust to glory one too many times.

If you haven't seen it, go buy it, don't rent it, or borrow it, buy it, this is one filmmaker worth supporting.

The back springs are superlift 3.5" springs, brand new. Don't know what the fronts are.

Also, doesn't want to go into low idle and running rich.. where should I start?
