Help! YN60 circuits out, some come n go
No park light circuit no matter what. The real trouble starts wen the charge light comes on stays on and its then that u lose wipers, the electric rear window, blinkers, hazards, and at least one carburettor wire goes dead if not all but choke possibly still works as it changes engine pitch but doesn't conk out ( it had been till a hasty job got done on the carb solenoids & elec choke with my help and blessing during a rare gap in auto sparkys schedule). Who knows wat else stops. Headlights (not including tail lights) starter and ignition remain unaffected. Haynes suposed all models 1979 - 1997 petrol & diesel 2wd & 4wd rn, yn, vzn & ln series does not list yn 60 electrical in the back of the book only yn63 up.
Stuck with systematic poking prodding looking for a bad earth. Expecting the strap to the block / gbox may be gone. Muppets also had carburetor with stupid amateur pod filter bs on it and carby totally not wired up, different plugs, vac lines bunged off willy nilly. Effing stupid muppets. Need it fixed asap as have wof ( new New Zealand road legalising 6 mthly check) recheck test to do monday if the mechanics even open. Plus....back wheels were locking up but that appears to have been the proportioning valve (subject to further recurrence). Made the rumbly rf wheel bearing seem like a breeze. O and it got wet so the carpet stinks of must 😆😆
Any help with the elecs, choke/carb elec & brakes appreciated. Wish me luck. On breakdown nightshift watch, tasks completed, heading out to engage the enemy
