New Prob similar symptoms REVIVAL!!
So I've revived my old thread about sputtering issues just so everyone can see what I've already done. Now onto the issue at hand. I went camping this past weekend, drove about 60 miles, temps were in the 80's. On the way my truck would lose power under acceleration, my engine wouldn't die out completely but the exhaust tone was gone. I would turn the truck off while still moving and restart to reboot the cpu, this seemed to work, although I had to do it about 4 or 5 times the whole way. Then my truck at stop lights and when I first start it, runs on only 2 or 3 cyls... all you can smell is raw fuel, when I give it more gas it seems to get the other cyl firing around 3k, although I experienced a loss of cyl while going up hills and that is not fun. When I tried giving it more gas going uphill like this, it sounded like I was getting a backfire from in my intake.(I have a snorkel so my snorkel was popping) I changed my plugs less than 1000 miles ago. This morning when I got ready to leave camp, it started up sketchy but then smoothed its self out and ran great my entire way back to Charlotte. the temp was in the low 60's this morning. My vavles to chatter pretty bad and I need a valve job I know, could this have anything to do with it?
