Gas tank lift?

I recently installed a 2 inch BL on my 85.
Ive heard that you can lift your gas tank up after doing this?
Anyone have a link to a thread where someone did this?
Thanks

I normally just buy some longer fuel rated hose and put new lines in. Radiator hose works very well.

Did you lower your radiator as well?
Some kits raise the radiator a little too much and if you done use electric mounted fans the clutch fan or cooling fan my not keep the radiator quite cool enough.

Are your brake lines ok and not pulled tight?

Are you able to shift all the gears just fine?

Does it shift the T-Case ok?

These are jsut a few problems that I have come across when working on body lifts and people wanted to try to do it themselves. I used to work at a custom suspension shop and have done TONS of bodylifts.

Everything on my Body lift works fine.
Ive just heard something about being able to lift the gas tank to gain more ground clearance. Something about using the mounts that are already there from a pickup?

So a drivetrain lift is required for the gas tank lift?

The front of the tank mounts to the rear trans crossmember.
maybe you can fab some brackets to lift the tank without affecting the member but then the crossmember is lower than the tank negating any extra ground clearance.

That is not my understanding. I don't see why it would.
