Front drive shaft 4x4

My 85 has a trail gear 5” suspension system with high steer. This is SYSTEM not just springs. Did a full tune today successfully took the ol girl out for a little low range action ok should of had lockers crawler and gears where I was when I separated my front drive shaft. Easy repair but what’s future prevention. Give me them ideas please and thank you

Are you running the stock driveshaft? Sounds like you need a shaft with longer slip travel.

have the extended sleeved yokes on. Noticed in daylight today pulled the shock boot off on the passenger side. I was in some pretty knarly terrain. I am thinking limiter straps but not sure
