Front Bucket Seats 4Runner

Looking to replace my front seats in my 85 4Runner. Would like to find some SR5 seats. Are there any seats from newer Toyotas that bolt directly in?

Here's a sweet idea for some seats:

I used some seats from a 94 runner. The driver side bolts right up. The passenger side does too, but the 94 seats are not designed to slide forward like the pass. seat in your runner. So to remedy ingress and egress issues in the swap between my 85 runner and the 94, I removed the seat cushion (4 bolts) from my 85's seat frame and replaced it with that of the 94.

The 94 seat is a little narrower, so I put three washers per mounting bolt (again, 4 bolts) between the seat cushion and the frame rail to make up the difference in size.

The seat back will have to be disassembled completely and replaced with that of the 94. The trick is to undo the little wire fasteners and pull the fabric up and inside out (having first removed the head rest) completely over the top of the seat frame. This will expose the head rest mounting hole thingys. Reach under where they are inserted and pinch the thingys together and push them out of the frame. Now you have a bare frame. Reverse the procedure to install the fabric and foam from the 94 and VOIL?!

You'll have seats which are more comfortable and cheaper than the rareish sr5 seats. Mine are adjustable for recline, forward/backward, forward fold, lumbar support, side bolster support and the passenger seat operates as designed for the two door runner.....
