frame help PLEASE!!

ok so heres the deal im buyin a 85 xtra cab pickup nice body and interior but with a rotten back half of frame i think i could plate it its only 600 dollars and it runs and drives so dont knock me down because of the frame... oh heres the thread https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f115...pickup-146641/

so my options are plate it if i can or find a back half of a good junkyard truck and integrate it like so....https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f115...pick-up-75391/

my question is since its an xtra cab would a 2wd back half frame of an xtra cab integrate smoothly with minimal bed/body mount relocation

please help lol i would GREATLY appreciate it

I don't have an answer as to how well the frames would match up, but it can't be too far off. I say go for it.

From what rswords did in the 2nd thread you posted, he used a 2WD frame and said everything lined up. So your theory of using the 2WD xtra cab frame should work with out too much trouble..just follow his write up and you should be good to go. plate both sides of the frame at your splice...
