FJ Cruiser Seats in an 85 4runner?
Hello,
I've read every thread about what seats fit, making custom brackets, aftermarket seats etc. My seats are basically garbage, and finding good ones has been very difficult.
My question is if a pair of FJ Cruiser seats might work for a seat swap (knowing they won't bolt directly in)?
More specifically, if the distance they move forward and back might be similar to how the (stock) passenger seat moves forward when folded.
I asked the guy and he says they do fold and move forward, but I wonder how much? The rails do look pretty long!
This COULD be the perfect pair of seats? I think I can get them for about $200.

FWIW, The stock location of the bolt holes/threads are usually reinforced in one way or another. It is for the occupants safety - unless they have the ability to survive a trip - head first - through broken glass at 40 plus MPH.
Measure the distances between the mounting points on the FJ seats and see how close they are. Maybe they are close enough to massage the track/mounting hole.
I've been playing around with the tracks on a pair of Corolla seats, but no resolution at this point.
