AFM= air flow meter. sits on top of the air filter and measures how much air and what temp the air is so the computer can calculate the fuel mixture.

The AFM on the 85 22re has a fuel pump switch incorporated in it. When there is air flow the switch activates the fuel pump.

i got the same problem to i have a new afm/tps and injectors and a fuel pump and it still starts and dies ive been working on mine for 4 months

i did the bending tab 85 for the relay and it worked. I put in a new one and it started acting up again. Does that mean that my pump is going bad?
