drop oil pan on 84 w/o lift

My oil pan gasket is blown out in a spot and I want to replace while I'm fixing EVERYTHING ELSE on the truck. Can I drop the oil pan as the truck sits? Without anything else being removed?

jack from the frame and let the axle droop and you should be able to remove the pan without any deal, just need a tall jack and some jack stands or something

Nice!!! I'm jealous. I'll probably be putting a lift this summer if it is all good mechanically.
