Angry '85 4runner wont run!? HELP

ok so i have a 1985 4runner 4x4 with the 22r efi. ive been workin on this thing for a while now but now i'm completely stumped...when i crank the motor, fuel goes all the way to the injectors, but will not squirt out of them into the cyl??? i cant figure it out because i hooked the injectors up to my jeep cherokee (has the same exact plug as yota) and they all worked... is something telling the injectors not to inject? if so, what all tells the injectors to inject? and also, would it have obdI or obdII? please help. my jeep can tear up some mud but now i have a new project i need to finish

Have you checked all your fuses? Inluding the big silver EFI fuse. Then check the wiring to the injectors. Also check resistance on those wires if everything else checks good. That's about as good a starting place I can give you.

Ok, so I did a little research for you. Did you check the injector harness with a multimeter?

Next test:

With the ignition on (not running/cranking) test between one terminal of the injector pig tail and ground. One of the terminals (test both) should indicate 12v.

If not, you've got a current supply problem - probably EFI fuse.

If you have 12v, you have a trigger problem, probably ignition related. Start with the distributor pick up.

If your truck has a solenoid resistor check and see if its good, the solenoid resistor on my 86 4Runner went bad and the injectors wouldn`t operate, i had a spare one laying around and put it on and my 4Runner started on the first try.

Yup, check your resistor. That's more than likely the cause. Bout the only way to check is to try another one, lol.

Also check in the harness on top of the intake manifold. There are splices in the injector wiring there and it is known for those splices to fail.

The solenoid resistor is located on the passenger inner fender, it has two yellow plugs comming out of it, if it bad the injectors won`t work, i went through this same problem on my 86 4Runner and it was the solenoid resistor.
