door panel idea, bumper brackets too
anybody intrested in aftermarket doorpanels, i have accsess to a waterjet machine at work i could cut them out of plastic or aluminium, im thinking the half panel style on 2nd gen trucks.i also have several sets of plates for a custom frnt bumper the plates are L shaped and line up with the 6 (three per side) threeded holes on the front crossmember a pretty firm base for a custom bumper
i also have rear bumper brackets
(pics soon)

a water jet can cut any material so the possibilities are endless, diamond plate however is really expensive, regular aluminum sheet metal is less expensive and if you brush it up with scoth brite it looks pretty cool

this is brushed aluminium roughly .035 thick (not sure what gauge) no door handle bezel but this is the basic idea, i think half panels would look a lot better and would be less expensive also instead of using the stock plastic fastners l lined the back of the panel with thin rubber insulation and then used sheet metal screws to fasten it to the doort, does not rattle at all and is very firm

I've been wanting to get or make some aluminum panels for the cargo area in my 1st gen 4runner, they would be a bit more difficult because there is the bend at the rear corner. do you think you could do something like that?

Oooh. - rear carg panels in metal...
Might need to roll some "stiffener" grooves into the panels.
Will the stock "doors" work (aka jack on drivers side, storage on passenger side).
I priced a peice of alum diamond plate for the rear hatch at one time long ago. I think it was like $70 back in the mid 90s....
I'll probably end up with plywood and that rubber flooring diamond plate stuff...

It's amazing how nice a piece of 3/16 oak veneered plywood looks used as door panels. I helped my brother in law restore a VW bus and we used a piece of home depot plywood and sprayed lacquer on it after we cut it out. Looked really good.
