Diesel in gas tank
#4
mostly a lot of smoke. But gas in a diesel is very bad. Some people mix in diesel in there gas or ATF not a lot though, just to lubricate the cylinders because gas doesn't lubricate where as diesel has some lubrication to it. Thats why when you put gas in a diesel the injection pump or injectors quit its because gas has no lubrication to lubricate the parts causing major damage to a diesels fuel system.

Just drain the tank and refill it.
I'd drain it by disconnecting the fuel rail, and running a hose to a drum. Jump your fuel pump (B+ and FP in the diagn. box) When you refill, put in 1/2 gal at a time and pump it through as well, that will flush out the residual in the tank.
Happens all the time to people.

You don't have to go that indepth just siphen the tank and fill with gas. It quit because diesel isn't as combustible as gas so its hard to burn in a gas engine. Just fill with gas it might crank for a while but it will fire up and don't be concerned if there is any smoke off the start when it fires up.

Both fuels are made up of non polar molecules, thus diesel is soluble with gasoline. Thus, it will probably smoke, might mess with your catalytic converter but you're not EFI, so no O2 sensor to worry about. Seafoam it after you run a tank or two through.
