Hey every one i am having trouble getting a cone washer off my left front manual locking hub assembly and its killing me trying to get it off i have tried pliers, screwdrivers, picks, heating it, cooling it and still nothing works!!! does any one have some advice on how to get a stuck one off? I got the other 5 off just with a screwdriver and a hammer.

Did you try the two most recommended methods? Place a soft metal (brass or mild steel) punch on the end of the stud that the cone washer is stuck on, take a small sledge hammer, and tap the end of the punch. A couple of hits should do it. The other way is to take your small sledge, and hit the side of the hub assembly right next to the cone washer.

With either of these two ways, the cone washer usually ends up flying out with some force, so you're best to leave the nut threaded halfway down the stud so that you don't lose the washer (or an eye).
