Cold Start problem different then other thread

When I'm trying to start my truck after it has been sitting for a while meaning over night or during the work day. When I go to start it again it cranks over fine but just doesn't want to start. When It finally does start it runs rough for a second(not a misfire just very low idle) and thens dies. I start it again and it does the same thing. It will do this 3 - 4 times before it runs o.k and then when I go to drive it will bog down and start trying to die on probably 50 yards later. Any ideas because I am completely stumped.

sounds like fuel pump isnt holding prime. if it turns over and wont fire could be lack of fuel. but u saying it try's to die while running, u need to check fuel pressure. pump might be shot
