Whats up guru's ?? I just ordered the $20 armrest cover for the center console from eBay. Have any of you ever re-foamed and recovered one ? Mine has no foam or cover left and I'm going to tackle it myself. I was hoping to get the feedback from anyone on here that may have already attempted this. Wish me luck!!!
I did mine .. I just used the old pieces for a template .I'm doing supra seats in my build , so the vinyl I'm using on those I used for the lid .
the shift boots ,I wanted real leather as well , so I went to a second hand store and bought an old jacket for $20.00 and cut it up .
The foam , I just used some memory foam from the hardware store .

looks good !!! I ordered a cover from EBay and just got back from the upholstery shop getting a piece of foam. As soon as the cover shows up I’m going to give it a whirl.
i made a new cover 8 years ago using ballistic nylon scraps i have from a previous job (back in the 90s). made templates from the original cover, and reused the foam, as it was still ok. not perfect, and not oem (nylon), but has been serviceable for 8 years, and looks better than the filthy, tattered original cover.
