carb possibly vacuum?

I have the stock carb on my 85 pickup and noticed that when taking off unless you floor it right away it bogs down about half throttle then just takes off. I have a friend who seems to think its vacuum related and another one that thinks its the carb. just bought the truck and it looks like someone has gone through the carb or at least cleaned it up good. I don't have a vacuum diagram to go off of to check if they are even ran right. (previous owner did motor swap) where should i begin?

its deffinetly carb related.. it could be anything from a bad gasket to the vacuum lines.. you might have a leak in one of the lines so just spray them with starting fluid while the trucks running and if it dies down you know you have a bad line.. and the lines are probably not in the right place if he did an engine swap.. to find out you can just go down to the local dealer and theyll print you out a diagram
