95 4runners came with 1" bore MC. Two styles, ABS and non-ABS. Are you running disk or drum brakes in the rear?

I believe every V6 2nd gen 4runner had a 1" master, thats what I'm running on my 87.

From Pirate
"Brake Master Cylinder info
In addition to the Rotor swap, some people like to put bigger MCs in so that they have more fluid movement.
In this case, you want to acquire a Master Cylinder for a V6 truck or 4runner. It should be the 1" Bore. This is pretty much a bolt in replacement. Requiring you to move some brake lines slightly at worst."

I have a brake booster and master cylinder off of a 92 or 93 4Runner on my 86 4Runner, and it works good and was a nice improvement over the stock set up.

Stock drums in the rear and stock discs up front, but i plan on upgrading to vented rotors and V6 calipers in the front in the near future.

in addition to swapping the master cylinder, consider getting a dual diaprahm (sp?) booster
out of a turbo 86-87 or T100, probably a couple of other sources) but it would help that larger master cylinder reach its full potential

You can use a duel diasphragm brake booster from any 89-95 truck or 4Runner on our trucks, i have a duel diaphragm brake booster and master cylinder from a 92-93 4Runner on my 86 4Runner and it made a nice improvement to my braking.

I to have a booster and MC from a 92 4runner v6 on my 88 . I actually just installed it because it looked better than what was on my runner when i bought it .

I know the mc is a 1" , but how do you know if the booster is a dual diaphram booster?

The duel diaphragm booster will be alot wider front to back then the small thin one used on 84-88 trucks and 4Runners.

For the booster, get one out of a 90-95 2wd truck that has a dual diaphram booster. They are the smaller size like the turbos had.
