Can 22250-35050 substitute for 22250-35020?
#1
Hi everyone,
First post here so hopefully everything follows protocol.
I'm wondering if anyone knows if the 22250-35050, the 89-95 AFM, will substitute for the 22250-35020, the 85-89 AFM?
I've seen other threads about the AFM, PNs, and interchangeability, but none directly answers this question other than this:
The connectors look the same from images. That leaves the resistances, but on the 4Crawler AFM testing thread it doesn't specify different values for the different generations, which leads me to think the resistances are the same as well.
Is there anything I'm missing or are these parts interchangeable?
Aloha

The supra AFM wont work, totaly different resistances and a CFM beyond what the 22re ECU can handle, You would also need to use the ECU for that particulare AFM since it was designed for a 6Cyl and comparible CFM.
First off, what engine and year do you have?, Knowing this helps alot.
"ALL" 3vze's use 22250 65010
22re 83-85 22250 35010 (celica)
83-88 22250 35020 (truck)
83-88 22250 35040 (22rert truck)
89-92 22250 35050 (truck)
All the 22re afm should be compatible to eachother with the 22rert one being the only one tuned different but I doubt that.
The reason for the different numbers is to help match with ECU's and thats because the difference in inpedence in the injectors and thats a different subject.
