I used the 94 v6 runner calipers booster and MC, used land cruiser rotors and ran the ifs hubs with the sky wide kit (much safer and not as "ghetto" to me) not that spacers are ghetto when you dont have much choice. I run them on the back of my chevy pulling truck to even the rear stance to the front

So, if I wanted to do disks front and rear on my 85 and keep the stock bolt pattern, could I do what Big85 did for master cyl, booster and front brakes. Then for the rear use this kit http://www.trailtough.com/index.php?...hk=1&Itemid=53 with the FJ60 rotors, 94 calipers and wheel spacers in the rear?

Well again, I would advise putting the late model rearend out of IFS trucks in it, they are 3 inches wider so you wouldnt have to run spacers in the rear either, Be toatally spacerless. You can pick them up outta junkyards cheap, efverything bolts up and you can use your exsisting 3rd

I hate to thread jack, but Big 85, I'm just down the road in Thomson, Ga.

And as far as the brakes, you would have to run a proportioning valve for that rear disc set up because of the serious stopping power those big calipers provide. You would lock up the rears in a heartbeat. I did the IFS rear from an '89 V6 Runner, and I have 1.5" spacers up front and have had zero issues with them. So don't be afraid to run spacers if you torque them properly...

I passed you the other day on I-20, well might have been a month ago, I was in my tacoma

And so it's not to much thread jacking going on, All my buddies run wide rearends and all run spacers on front. Like i said b4 my chevy pulling truck runs them on the back, and its pulling my yota and trailer all over the southeast. Never seen a problem out of any. I do divide the torque spec up into 3 increments when I bolt them up, and bolt them in a star pattern. I used to use a light thread locker but I havent done that in a while, I was just really freaked out about them at first.

So, the FJ-80 master cylinder would work with those rear discs? Or would I have to run that Summit one?

So, I started working on my brakes. Blew my booster at the end of a wheelin trip. Picked up a new master from what I think was a 91-92 4runner. Booster out of a 90 4runner. Just went back and got the calipers from the same 90. I'm gonna pick up new pads today and then hopefully I'll have the most amazing front brakes I've had in years. Eventually I'd like to upgrade the rear but I want to get a t-case mounted e-brake installed first. We put one on my buddies 84 4runner and it's seriously awesome.
