Can you guess what it is? A 1985 shortwheel base truck frame. Part 1 of 2 for the XtraCab -> 4Runner project. Now I just need the 4Runner part.

Frame is intact... needs a good cleaning, rust treatment, and paint. Everything mechanical will be painted during the switch over, leaving me with a pretty "cherry" 4Runner

Women used to be on my mind, now THIS is all I think about:

(Note: Not my 4Runner, but definetly the look I aim for. Props to whoever owns it.)

Ok so... I found out for sure that the stock body mount locations aren't perfect. The front four will suffice, but everything rearward will have to be removed, relocated, or re-elevated. I just got a reply from member liltoyota who, Ican tell, will be of tremendous help. Once things get on the ball, I'll begin two threads: the first on frame modification for retrofitting a 4Runenr body and a second one for the actual swap process (which will commence a few months from now).

a local place around me called irbis offroad put a first gen 4runner body on a 3rd gen 4runner frame and suspension so it has the coils in the rear instead and coilovers up front. i like the one off projects.
