best exhaust size?

best exhaust size?

well iv decide it is time to put on a new exhaust system, im going to run 2 1/4 off the stock manifold to a thrush turbo muffler to behind the right rear tire, will this be good set up.for dd/weekend warrior or should I do 2 inch? Also do I want 2 1/4 I.d or o.d, or 2 inch I.d or o.d, thanks

2 1/4" is great. 2" will be quieter. Do you have a 4runner or pick-up?

For what its worth

The guy who I just had put on a down pipe for my Downey. Told me he used to do all the exhausts for dyno testing for pro trux, and the 22r and 22re ran best with 2 1/4 with a 2 in tail pipe, unless your running wide open throttle all day.
