Why would you want to do this? The wiring harness is designed to work with the battery mounted in the "stock" position on the "left" (I assume "left" means as you are looking at the battery with the hood up?) Unless I had some absolute need to do this I wouldn't bother. It just sounds like work for works sake, with no better results in performance.
I added an aux battery on the drivers side and relocated my air intake to the cowl on my 22R with weber carb. Not sure I'd recommend the cowl intake over an open element if you're dealing with a carb also.
Yeah you're right sword. was just a thought because the battery box has rusted bad but just as easy to rebuild that. Thanks guys.
lol, bruh, there's probably one or two write-ups on here on doing the battery/intake swap. Ultimately, it's a fun project if you like to do wiring. The goal in doing this would be to have the intake on the side of the motor where the hot exhaust manifold isn't and eliminate the intake tube that soaks up all that radiator heat.
