Well I don't think the pic does it justice but both tires are leaned inward at the top and are way out of alignment.There is a nasty squeaking sound that comes from both sides the right side more though and it comes and goes,it increases volume on the side that is opposite the turn(during turning).The tires have been rubbed bald because of issue. Have I broke something? If so what? and how?
I know I need new tires and I don't want to buy them until I figure this out.
Any help would be appreciated. The axle is from an 85 I believe. [I] haven't been wheeling it and I haven't hit anything? The only thing I've done is gone up and down a very steep concrete driveway and it slid a little and it has made the noise ever since.

 

Check your tierod/draglink and your balljoints as well as basicaly the entire knuckle assembly. What were you doing when the problem started or when the alignment went out?

 

Its your trunyin bearing there is two on each side.

 

Going down a steep driveway and it skided an that is it? that is all I can come up with.

I'd agree.... sounds like your trunion or knuckle bearings. Jack up the front end. If they are loose or wasted, you'll have ton's of side to side play in your wheels.

Here is a diagram of the knuckle:



Orange circles are where the bearing attaches to the knuckle. See all those shims? Yours should have them as well. Pay special attention to how many and whether they are at the top or bottom when you start taking things apart. Theses shims aligns the knuckle with the housing, and keep the inner axle straight which saves seals and keeps everything working correctly.

This particular example has some upgraded gussets, but will give you an idea. Most likely the races will be destroyed, but they come in bearing kits from multiple manufactures and are easy to replace.

This is the Marlin knuckle rebuild kit:



Part number MC1200, $85 (http://www.marlincrawler.com/htm/axles.htm). Should give you everything you need. You will want to replace all the knuckle seals while you are doing this work. Other manufacturers such as Trail Gear also sell rebuild kits. Prices and quality of parts will vary.

Some other parts to consider while you are in there:
Marlin heavy duty inner axle seals
New hub bearings

Not that hard of a job to do, just time consuming.

 

Very, give yourself the day the first time you rebuild a pair of knuckles.

 

I'm about to attempt this, and I'm scared is it really very easy? the diagram looks complicated.

 

Its very easy...you just need a good guide (there are some online) and the correct tools (knuckle pull scale, hub socket, torque wrench, etc...)
